Pucallpa is a town in the Central-Eastern area of Peru, capital of the Department of Ucayali and the province of Coronel Portillo. Lies in the Amazon, to the left margin of the Ucayali River.

Our city is on the banks of the mighty and navigable Ucayali River one of the main tributaries of the Amazon River; therefore referred to as "The Pope of the River Amazon", one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
Pucallpa was settled in the 1840s by Franciscan Missionaries who settled several families of the ethnic group shipibo-conibo. For several decades he remained a settlement isolated from the rest of the country by the Cordillera de los Andes. It was founded between May 23, 1883 and October 13, 1888 during the rush of the rubber; and it is on that date that its anniversary, which is carried out as a custom in the main square, opposite the municipality and our stunning Hotel.
Pucallpa economy is based on trade, the timber industry and tourism. The biggest attractions of the city include eco-tourism, the Square of Centre, the Cathedral, the Natural Park and cultural tourism, in the case of shamanism. Its main economic activities are fishing, farming, ranching and logging. Also, growing exploitation of oil and gas activity; it delivered fuel and electricity to the city and the country.
